I am very excited to share the story of two NIRSA members whose current working relationship at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington was formed through their roots 384 miles north in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Drew Loso, Assistant Director of Facility Operations, attended James Madison University from 2007–2013. There, he obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees while serving for six years on the UREC staff in various capacities. Madison Lewis is a recent graduate of James Madison University and a former UREC employee. She currently serves as the Graduate Assistant for Facility Operations at UNCW where she is supervised by Drew.
In honor of James Madison University Recreation’s 20th anniversary and the grand reopening of our facility, Drew and Madison made the voyage to attend the weekend’s events and reconnect with the UREC family. They took some time to sit down with me to discuss their relationship, the ways they’ve grown as NIRSA members, and why you should take advantage of this year’s professional networking opportunities with the Association:
I’d like to thank my good friend, roommate, and UREC Graduate Assistant for Facility Services Connor Woisard for taking the time to shoot this video.
William Trent, NIRSA Student Leader, is currently the Graduate Assistant for Marketing & Social Media at James Madison University.
