Year in and year out, the NIRSA Flag & Touch Football Rules Book & Officials’ Manual is one of the Association’s most popular resource publications. This handbook has become the standard for campus recreation programs across North America, and beyond.
Currently in its 17th edition, the manual provides members with the latest rule changes and updates for sport. Whether you are a coach, an instructor, official, player or fan of the sport, this resource has become the authoritative rules book for flag & touch football. This go-to resource—which is updated every two years—is due for an update ahead of the 2017–2018 seasons.
Nearly three decades ago, in 1987, the NIRSA Flag & Touch Football Rules Editorial Board—previously the NIRSA Flag & Touch Football Rules Committee—began a tradition of dedicating each revised edition of the NIRSA Flag & Touch Football Rules Book & Officials’ Manual to a person who has made significant contributions to the sport and played a pivotal role in the development of flag football. The Editorial Board is currently seeking nominations for the dedication of the 18th edition of the NIRSA Flag & Touch Football Rules Book & Officials’ Manual.
Please consider nominating an individual who is deserving of this honor. It only takes a few minutes to complete the nomination form, while the honor will last a lifetime. So what are you waiting for? Nominate a deserving colleague today! Nominations for this unique distinction are due Friday, November 11.
- If you have any questions about nominating someone for the 18th edition of the NIRSA Flag & Touch Football Rules Book & Officials’ Manual, please contact NIRSA Flag Football Editorial Board Chair Nicole Green.
Nicole Green is currently the Assistant Director of Recreational Sports at University of Michigan and Chair of NIRSA’s Flag Football Editorial Board.
