The NIRSA Recreational Sports Exposition is back and it’s bigger and better than ever! With over 170 exhibitors and an expected nearly 3,000 attendees, the 2016 expo—taking place from April 3–4 in Kissimmee, FL—is set to be the best one yet.
As always, the exhibitors are bringing their latest and greatest products and services. You’ll have the opportunity to learn how to bring those products to your institution, make your job easier, and attract even more students to your rec center. The exhibitors, like you, are experts in their fields and are a great resource to help you improve your rec center experience.
The excitement starts Sunday, April 3 at 5:00pm! After you’ve grabbed your free NIRSA duffle bag—sponsored by Core Health and Fitness—at the NIRSA booth, feel free to start your Expo experience with complimentary snacks and a cash bar. Once you get your fill of good eats and drinks, don’t forget to stop by and test your skills at the NIRSA Hoop Shoot Contest sponsored by 2XL, Gopher, Mondo, PlayyOn, Porter Athletic, and Spalding. For only $1 you’ll get the chance to play for cash prizes and be one of the first people to own the new official NIRSA Basketball from Spalding!
New to the Expo Hall this year is the Special Olympics Unified Sports Experience booth! Visit the booth to play an inclusive yet competitive game of bocce ball. If bocce ball isn’t a tough enough workout for you, you can work up a sweat at the Fitness Forum presented by Life Fitness.
And consider riding for your college in the 2016 NIRSA Knockout Challenge on Interactive Fitness’ Expresso Bikes. Set the fastest time on these virtual reality bikes for your college and win cash prizes. There are just a few spots left—register your college’s representatives today!
On Monday, April 4, after the Early Morning Workout from 6:30am–7:30am, come back to the Expo Hall at 9:00am to get your morning cup of joe at the Coffee Break sponsored by Core Health and Fitness. After grabbing your coffee, visit the Special Olympics Unified Sports Experience booth again to learn how to play the fun game of pickle ball!
Anyone looking for a new T-shirt or two? Don’t forget to stop by the T-Shirt Exchange at 9:45am. Bring your shirts and trade wearable creativity of your fellow NIRSA members!
Hungry? No need to leave the excitement! Starting at 11:30am along isle 1300, you can purchase grab-n-go lunches. Though there’s no need to “go” since there will be plenty of tables in the Expo Hall. What’s lunch without a little dessert? Starting at 1:00pm there will be free ice cream thanks to Sasaki Associates!
Finally, be sure to stop by the NIRSA booth to enter to win either a Schwinn IC Pro 20 or a Star Trac Studio 3 donated by Core Health and Fitness. Core will deliver and set up your bike so don’t worry about trying to fit it into your luggage. The drawing will take place at 2:15pm on Monday, April 4.
Come and join us for the 2016 NIRSA Recreational Sports Expo and experience the fun firsthand! We’ll see you in Kissimmee!
