COVERMASTER—a NIRSA associate member for more than 25 years—was named one of only four recipients of The Sports Field Management Association’s (SFMA) coveted 2022 Innovation Awards Program, conferred on companies who have developed products, services, or technology that make fields safer and more playable for athletes.
COVERMASTER was recognized by SFMA for its revolutionary new system that allows just two to three people to roll sports field covers on and off a playing surface. Campus recreation professionals in facility management will note the reduced personnel required for this task, as the process to install a cover often requires six people for traditional plastic or steel rollers. The SFMA Innovative Awards Task Group also noted the reduced storage requirements from the new COVERMASTER products; the award-winning, inflatable field cover can be deflated, rolled, and stacked on pallets until it needs to be unrolled and inflated for the next use.
COVERMASTER is always trying to bring new products to the marketplace to make groundskeepers’ lives easier and more efficient, and to provide better protection for their sports fields.
