Greetings NIRSA family, I hope everyone is settling into the school year as we begin to reopen, program, and hopefully get back to some normalcy. I have some great news! The 2022 Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders Conference Program Committee is now accepting presentation proposals!
The Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders (ERSL) Conference has been a signature event for students and young professionals who are interested in careers in campus rec. It has encouraged a strong future of leadership from minorities in the field for 30 years now!
Please consider this opportunity to present at the 30th ERSL Conference, which is themed “Moving Forward—Together.” The conference is taking place from February 17–19 in person at Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware! Of course, as we’re still treading through a national pandemic the conference host and committee holds the safety of all attendees in the highest regards. With that said, all registered participants will be required to wear a mask on campus and throughout the conference. Once registration opens, the conference will have a limited capacity 150 people. If the state of our public health crises changes, we may extend that capacity so more individuals can attend the conference.
We appreciate and commend Delaware State University for having the passion and dedication to host this conference, which is committed to fostering an atmosphere of relationship building amongst students and professionals. We’re thrilled to be able to bring our ERSL family together in person. This reunion of growth, networking, and development is long overdue.
Submit your presentation proposal
The success of this experience depends on you! It depends on members choosing to contribute by registering for the event and submitting presentation proposals. I know I speak for the entire program committee when I say that I hope you will consider joining us. With this being such a historic and landmark year for ERSL, we will celebrate our past 30 years of student development and embrace our future as we “Move Forward Together.”
NIRSA professional and student members who submit proposals and are among the first to have their proposal selected will serve as lead presenters and will receive a courtesy time preference. This means they’ll have the option to select the day and time they would like to present, which is definitely a reason to get excited! The deadline for these priority submissions is Friday, December 3. You don’t want to miss out on this fantastic chance to share your knowledge! Submit a presentation proposal by the Friday, December 10 deadline for all submissions! We can’t wait to see you in Delaware!
