“This initiative was born out of the Board’s desire to connect with members in the wake of a pandemic that has forced the cancellation of all the Association’s 2020 in-person events. Now that we’re all Zoom proficient, we thought this might be a great way for members to connect with Association Directors about the issues that matter most to them,” says NIRSA Executive Director Pam Watts.

These virtual office hours allow members to schedule a meeting with a NIRSA Board member over Zoom. Derek Hottell, Director of Recreational Sports at Virginia Commonwealth University, offered up his time during the initial launch of this program. Next week, Nigel Harris, Director of Programs & Facilities at Kennesaw State University, will take over the Board Member Connect role.
