As NIRSA members, we value diversity and inclusion as social imperatives that are essential to our shared world’s future. And it is appropriate that we honor those who are furthering our goal to promote diversity and inclusion throughout our Association and across the campus recreation profession.
Established in 2003, the Juliette Moore Distinguished Leadership Award is the highest tribute the Founders’ People of Color Planning Committee can pay to a member of NIRSA. The award strives to honor those who have helped further the goal of building a diverse and inclusive culture in our association by fostering equality of opportunity, encouraging diverse perspectives, and creating a welcoming and supportive climate in our Association. It recognizes and rewards those individuals who have distinguished themselves as truly extraordinary and who serve as an inspiration to all of us. The award was created to further highlight NIRSA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Please take a moment to nominate a deserving NIRSA colleague for this prestigious award! The deadline to submit your nomination is Monday, November 30. The recipient will be announced at the Annual Founders’ People of Color Social during the virtual 2021 NIRSA Annual Conference & Expo. Please submit a nomination today to recognize a deserving and inspiring individual!
