NIRSA recognizes that individuals and institutions are facing question marks related to budget assumptions or projections that may no longer be grounded in a daily life that is drastically different today from just a few months ago. While we continue to plan a program for NIRSA 2021, the uncertainties posed by the COVID-19 global pandemic have conference programmers and Association leaders exploring the level of interest in attending a physical, place-based event in March of 2021.
As you can imagine, the projected attendance numbers we used back in 2016 when securing the space for NIRSA 2021 is certain to be different from those pre-COVID-19 projections. Previous surveys have informed us that many institutions have implemented travel restrictions in the wake of the pandemic or significantly reduced or temporarily frozen professional development budgets.
We would like to check-in again with members and previous conference attendees to help us plan better by checking the temperature of potential conference attendees when it comes to attending an in-person learning event in the spring of 2021. Please take five minutes to complete this survey to let us know whether and how the coronavirus is impacting your individual or your institution’s plans to attend the 2021 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo in Milwaukee. Your responses will help guide our decisions going forward.
