NIRSA’s Flag Football season is gearing up, with regionals starting across the nation in October and the season finishing up with our National Championship tournament taking place once again in Pensacola, Florida. NIRSA is grateful to the University of West Florida for their many years of hosting the National Flag Football Championship.

The NIRSA Championship Series is also happy to announce that National Flag Football will be moving to a new home starting in 2020: the Sports Capital of Texas! The City of Round Rock along with The University of Texas at Austin, St. Edwards University, and Southwestern University will jointly host the National Flag Football Championships from 2020–2022 in the beautiful Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to host the NIRSA Flag Football National Championships in the Sports Capital of Texas,” says Chad McKenzie, Director of Sports Management and Tourism for Round Rock, Texas. “This is a fantastic tournament that I’ve been involved with for many years, from officiating as a student to volunteering as a young professional, and now to have the opportunity to serve as the host here in Round Rock is very exciting. We look forward to participants and spectators experiencing the state-of-the-art facilities at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex, our incredible staff, and the outstanding amenities Round Rock has to offer.”
