Since their inception in 2016, the Career Services Center’s Career Building Sessions have proved to be an increasingly popular resource for students and young professionals seeking a position within campus recreation. These half-hour sessions focus on a wide variety of career-related topics, such as negotiating salary and benefits with an employer, building strong working relationships with coworkers, and navigating social networking as an introvert.

We’re looking for presenters with great advice to share with 2019 Annual Conference attendees who are looking to secure graduate assistantships, internships, and entry-level employment within campus recreation. These sessions do not have to be specific to campus rec; their purpose is mostly to help equip potential candidates with soft skills as they move into any career. Take a look at the NIRSA 2019 presenter webpage to get an idea of the overarching theme of the 2019 educational content, and be sure to submit your presentation proposal for a Career Building Session by Friday, August 17!
