The Active Minds Healthy Campus Award recognizes and celebrates U.S. colleges and universities that are promoting student mental health and creating a campus culture of wellbeing. For the past several years, NIRSA has been proud to support this honor by providing members with the opportunity to serve as judges. This work with Active Minds provides NIRSA yet another route to celebrate integrated wellbeing on campus, including innovative ways to change the conversation about mental health.

This year’s NIRSA representative to the Active Minds review panel was April Lovett, Florida State University, who has been active in promoting wellbeing on her campus, within the Association, and beyond.

NIRSA joins Active Minds in congratulating the winners of the 2018 Healthy Campus Award:

  • Arizona State University
  • Duke University
  • Kent State University
  • Jefferson Community College
  • University of Oregon
  • University of South Carolina
  • University of South Florida

To learn more about how these schools are going above and beyond in promoting student health, you can download the “Creating a Healthy Campus: Best Practices and Innovative Strategies” webinar, featuring three of the winning schools. In July, you’ll also be able to download the Healthy Campus Award Key Findings Report for 2018.
