A lasting legacy

Countless students and professionals have been positively affected by Sarah’s passion for collegiate recreation and for NIRSA. Brooke Turner, RCRSP, Associate Director of Programs at the University of Alabama and former Chair of the NIRSA Championship Series, shares her excitement about the new award:

“It’s exciting that the NIRSA Championship Series has an annual award to celebrate impactful volunteers who have contributed their time and efforts over numerous years and fitting that it be named for Sarah Fain. She worked tirelessly at tournaments on creating the best experience for participants and staff. Her dedication to The Series was immense and this award is a lovely way to honor her efforts, character, and passion for the NIRSA Championship Series.”
