The Program Committee for the 2018 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo—which will take place in Denver, CO from March 4–7—is excited to announce that Aron Ralson will be the keynote speaker for the Opening General Session on Sunday March 4 from 7:00pm-9:00pm.
Aron is an avid adventurer, experienced climber, and motivational speaker. He is the author of Between a Rock and a Hard Place and the subject of the film 127 Hours, both based on his experience hiking alone in southeastern Utah in 2003 and having to amputate his own arm when he was trapped under a dislodged boulder. His inspirational story of survival will get the NIRSA family—especially our members involved in outdoor rec—ready to Elevate Your Path at NIRSA 2018.
