With over a million views in 2016 alone, Bluefishjobs.com has long been the premiere job board for the recreation world. And now, with the help of Google, job postings will be seen by even more potential candidates!
In late June, Google for Jobs premiered. When job seekers search Google for “jobs near me” or “recreation jobs,” for example, Google will display job postings from across the internet—most notably from Bluefishjobs—above their traditional search results. Job seekers can then go to Bluefishjobs to see more details about the job posting and start the application process.
As part of Google for Jobs’ development, Google partnered with several job board software companies, including Boxwood, the host of Bluefishjobs. Because Boxwood was on the cutting edge of Google for Jobs’ development, Bluefishjobs listings are often at the top of these search queries.
Prior to Google for Jobs, the search engine would troll Bluefishjobs for new content just once per day, and sometimes even more infrequently. This meant that it might take hours for a newly-posted job to show up in traditional search engine results. Now, posting to Bluefishjobs means the job will be visible in Google for Jobs immediately.
If you would like to take advantage of the expanded reach that Google for Jobs will give your job posting, be sure to purchase a 60-day job post at Bluefishjobs.com. Packages are $175 for member institutions, and $300 for nonmember institutions.
