Hello NIRSA colleagues. It was fabulous to see so many of you in person this past month in National Harbor, MD! Please take a few minutes to join me this month as I share some of my perspectives about the 2017 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo.
With this month’s video, you may notice I am in a location that you haven’t seen before. I’m happy to say that the 14 members of our professional staff and I have finally moved back into our offices! We were displaced from May until January, during our recent construction project. If you have any decorating suggestions or ideas for me, please let me know.
Humans of NIRSA
I’m also happy to share another profile in the “Humans of NIRSA” campaign to help showcase some of the many talented individuals in our Association. Nora Osei, Sport Club and Youth Programs Graduate Student at James Madison University—who attended her first NIRSA Annual Conference in National Harbor this past February—spends a few minutes talking with me about her conference experience and the mentors who have inspired her.
Thanks for watching, and I invite you all to share your thoughts with me throughout the year by email or on Twitter—you can follow me on the @NIRSAPresident handle.
