With the generous support of donors to the NIRSA Foundation, the NIRSA Institutional Data Set is being overhauled and moved to a new online platform. The new platform will be hosted by Dynamic Benchmarking and allows for a more streamlined set of benchmarking questions and more powerful and relevant reporting features. The transition has also provided an opportunity to conduct a lengthy review of the instrument, resulting in an overall new and improved version of the IDS. Many thanks to the NIRSA Foundation for making this exciting project a reality!

This benchmarking tool is a significant step forward for NIRSA and has the potential to provide members and NIRSA Headquarters with impactful data for the collegiate recreation industry. While full access to the Institutional Data Set is an institutional member benefit, members at nonmember institutions will now be able to input their institutional data and try out the limited reporting features of the new platform. We hope a taste of the power of NIRSA’s benchmarking capabilities will inspire future institutional membership while enhancing the body of data collected and strengthening the integrity of the results.

After review and revision, the new platform is currently in the integration phase. The platform will undergo beta testing with a diverse group of NIRSA members in January 2016 and is set to launch in Spring 2016.

More information and updates will be made available on the NIRSA website and we invite you to attend the IDS educational session at the 2016 NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Expo taking place in Kissimmee, FL from April 3–6 to learn more.
