NIRSA’s professional members and the Student Leadership Team will have the opportunity to vote on proposed changes to the NIRSA Bylaws during the January 20–February 1 electronic elections. The 2015-2016 NIRSA Bylaws Committee has worked closely with the team at NIRSA Headquarters and NIRSA’s legal counsel to prepare proposed amendments to the Bylaws for the NIRSA Board of Directors’ review and approval. In early November, the full NIRSA Board approved the one proposed amendment to NIRSA’s Bylaws. The proposed amendment is now, as part of the 2016 NIRSA online voting and elections process, being submitted to NIRSA’s membership for consideration and adoption.
Amended Bylaws are for the current proposed amendments and all previous versions of Amended and Approved Bylaws are kept on file at NIRSA Headquarters. You can read the rationale, red-lined, and clean version of the proposed amendment on the NIRSA website.
For more information, or if you have any questions about the electronic elections/ballots, please contact NIRSA Senior Director of Professional Development Mary Callender.
