World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) is pleased to invite all NIRSA members to attend a free series of professional development webinars! Held monthly, webinars in this free series focus on key issues relevant to fitness, recreations, and wellness professionals, and are facilitated by our distinguished and accomplished faculty. Training is added and updated regularly in an effort to help fitness, recreation, and wellness professionals not only become better practitioners, but also become successful entrepreneurs and business professionals.
W.I.T.S. became an associate member of NIRSA in 2013. After attending numerous conferences and workshops and talking to recreation professionals, W.I.T.S. realized that individuals working in campus recreation and fitness facilities experience many of the same challenges as those working in non-educational settings. Concerns about certification, standards, and professional practices are a part of fitness education programming in almost any setting, as are the needs to generate revenue, market programs, attract members, and provide quality programming.
Webinars in this free series are offered monthly and registration is complementary to all NIRSA members. Space is limited to 500 registered sites, however, and webinars fill up fast! The webinars are designed to be interactive, informative, and allow for the sharing of ideas and best practices. The target audience for these webinars includes both new and experienced professionals. W.I.T.S. CECs are awarded to those who attend the webinar and complete the post-webinar assessment.
