The Collegiate Sports Sustainability Summit, also known as CS3, brings sustainability-minded campus leaders together to discuss, share, and promote ways to best advocate for this important initiative. The summit offers engaging speakers, collaborative roundtables, and breakout sessions that allow participants to dive deeper into hot topics regarding sustainability. The 2015 CS3 will be hosted by Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana from June 24–26.
The Summit offers attendees the chance to network, learn, and exchange ideas with peers from around the country on ways in which athletic and sports programs can join the campus movement to engage students, fans, and alumni in making collegiate sports socially, economically, and environmentally responsible. Presentation proposals recently closed for this event so the CS3 Content Committee is hard at work planning the educational content for this dynamic event.
CS3 is a collaboration event between NIRSA, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, Coca-Cola Recycling, the College and University Recycling Coalition, the Georgia World Congress Center, the Green Sports Alliance, Keep America Beautiful, Recycle Mania, and Purdue University. Registration for the Summit is now open.
More details about the event will become available over the next several months, so stay up to date on the latest news by keeping an eye on the CS3 webpage.
