The NIRSA School of Collegiate Recreation—or “The School” as it’s more commonly referred to—provides attendees with a broad range of materials and challenges designed to enhance a recreation professional’s management and problem-solving skills.
The School has both a Level I and a Level II, and runs on a three-year cycle: Level I is offered two years in a row and then Level II is offered every third year.
Level I is aimed at recreation professionals with one-to-five years of full-time work experience—and that full-time experience doesn’t need to be in rec sports. Level II is for experienced mid or upper-level administrators—meaning five or more years of experience or four years and completion of The School Level I—who want to sharpen their management skills.
NIRSA is currently seeking two experienced recreational sports professionals to join The School’s faculty and develop the course curriculum, design the program schedule, and lead sessions that provide participants with opportunities to practice, discuss, and refine the professional skills necessary for success. This is a fantastic opportunity for accomplished rec professionals to share their valuable knowledge with their fellow NIRSA members!
Applications are due by December 15—fill one out today!
