If you are an intramural sports administrator or team leader, don’t miss your chance to represent your organization and get new ideas at the 2014 NIRSA Intramural Sports Institute.
Though the Annual Conference offers a multitude of educational and networking opportunities across the field of collegiate recreation, by attending the Intramural Sports Institute you will be offered the opportunity to work more one on one with colleagues who work within the focus of intramural sports.
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma will host this year’s institute, from June 10-12. With a preconference facility tour of the University of Oklahoma, two socials, a t-shirt exchange, 13 educational sessions, an officiating panel, and a closing roundtable, this year’s institute has a lot to offer!

In addition to the fantastic program offerings, you’ll be able to get out and discover the vibrant charm of Oklahoma City. The Renaissance is a downtown Convention Center hotel located just steps from popular destinations like the Bricktown Entertainment District; Chickasaw Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City Redhawks; Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum; Chesapeake Arena, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder; and much more.
Keynote speaker
The Intramural Sports Institute Committee has selected Dr. Mac McCrory as this year’s keynote speaker. Dr. McCrory earned his doctorate of education in Health Science from Oklahoma State University with roots working in the Health/PE/Recreation Department. A motivational speaker on a variety of topics, he has spoken at more than 250 state and national conferences. His style is powerful, practical, entertaining, yet informative.
Dr. McCrory will be presenting the keynote at the opening welcome social and will be following up that presentation the next morning with an educational session entitled, “Managing Difficult People in Difficult Situations: Working with you is killing me.”
