NIRSA and the 2014 Facilities Institute Committee are pleased to announce that Houston, Texas has been selected as the host city for the 2014 NIRSA Recreation Facilities Institute. The institute will take place October 21-23 and will be held in a convenient part of town at the Houston Marriott Westchase Hotel.

There are so many new buildings and exciting changes happening in the Houston area this is sure to provide a tremendous backdrop to the Institute, as well as a cutting-edge lineup for this year’s facility tours!

The 2012 NIRSA Facilities Construction and Renovation Survey shows nearly 160 projects underway, with two-thirds of those expected to be completed before 2015. The building boom for recreational sports facilities continues to increase demand for knowledgeable and qualified facility managers and directors. The Institute provides in-depth information on planning, constructing, renovating, and operating recreational sports facilities.
