Students and young professionals, do you know someone who has inspired your interest in the field of collegiate recreation?

Is there someone who has motivated and deepened your commitment to the students you serve?

If so, are you looking for a meaningful way to say thanks?

Consider showing your appreciation and celebrating your mentor’s commitment to developing the next generation of leaders by nominating them for the Horace Moody Award.

Christopher J. Morris, Florida State University was the Region II recipient at NIRSA 2013.

Each year the Horace Moody Award is given to one NIRSA professional member from each of the six NIRSA regions in recognition of their contributions to student development. Recipients will be recognized during the NIRSA Annual Conference’s regional meetings and the Student Business Meeting. The six award winners will receive an inscribed plaque at the NIRSA 2014 Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Expo and be recognized on the NIRSA website and in the NIRSA Know.

“Example is not the main thing in influencing others. It is the only thing.”– Albert Schweitzer

This nomination period marks your once-a-year opportunity to honor the outstanding professionals who have made significant contributions to student development within your community. Nominate your mentor for a 2013 NIRSA Horace Moody Award by December 15.
