You know that awesome colleague you have—the one who is full of inspirational ideas, who was instrumental in making a project or event happen for NIRSA, and who can always be depended on to support their fellow NIRSA volunteers?

Let’s remind this person that his or her dedication to the Association doesn’t go unnoticed.

Help recognize the outstanding contributions made this past year of up to six professional members and up to three student members by nominating them for a NIRSA Annual Service Awards.

Recognize a colleague or mentor for their outstanding volunteer service.

The NIRSA Annual Service Award (formally the National Service Award) highlights members’ contributions to the Association for the previous year (May 2012-April 2013).

You have until September 16, 2013 to nominate a student or professional member who has made a positive difference for the Association. The nomination form is now available. Award recipients will be acknowledged during the 2014 Annual NIRSA Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to receiving a handsome plaque at the awards ceremony, awardees will also receive recognition in the NIRSA Know, on the NIRSA website, and throughout NIRSA Annual Conference materials.

Service, as one of NIRSA’s strategic values, is integral not only to our Association, but to our broader field of collegiate recreation as well. As dedicated professionals and students, we work and study hard every day with the goal of fostering wellbeing in college and university students. Don’t miss this opportunity to honor a fellow NIRSA member who embodies the excellence and giving that makes our organization great!
