The NIRSA National Recreation Facilities Institute invites NIRSA Members to submit presentation proposals for this annual event of bringing trends in recreation facilities to the next level through relevant and applicable educational sessions and eye-opening facility tours.

Presenting at the Institute is a great opportunity to further your own professional development while also fostering the same for others in the facilities field. Each education session focuses on topics relevant to campus facilities management or construction, including but not limited to:
Management Track

- Facility hours & group offerings
- Operations
- Revenue generation
- Risk management
- Security & maintenance
- Staffing sustainability
- Technology
Construction Track
- Campus feasibility & needs assessment
- Energy efficient facilities
- Facility conversion for other uses
- Furniture, fixture, and equipment
- Outdoor facilities
- Trends and future advancements
- Technology and technological advances
- Understanding architectural drawings/blueprints
The deadline to submit a presentation proposal is May 24, 2013. As a thank you for sharing their experiences and expertise in facility management, presenters will receive a $100 NIRSA voucher as well as earn Professional Involvement Credits (PICs) which can be used towards renewal applications into the Professional Registry.
