What will the college student population look like through the early 2030s? This session will shed light on what professionals in higher education should start to prepare for over the next 15 years by looking at birth rate data, high school graduation rate trends, and college enrollment projections. Drawing from the 2016 Knocking on the Door of College/Universities report, these projections will also look at regional, racial, and gender differences across the United States.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the overall trends and patterns college enrollment can expect to see over the next 15 years
  • Articulate the demographic and regional differences and trends projected in high school graduates from now until the early 2030s
