Philosophy & Theory

According to a 2015 Gallup poll, the number one person people do not want to see each day is their supervisor. Why is this? Leading and managing people is the most challenging and rewarding part of our jobs. Supervision is both an art and a science and holding people accountable who do not directly report to you, are older than you, and/or have more professional experience can also be tough. This session is designed to teach skills to increase your professional confidence and competence with supervision. You will take away a renewed focus on how to develop your own skills in this important professional competency.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn practical strategies to be a more effective and efficient supervisor.
  • Discover ways to manage people in a way that promotes maximum productivity and encourages personal ambition.
