The Emerging Recreation Sports Leaders Conference provides young people with the skills necessary to have meaningful careers in the field of collegiate recreation. Through networking opportunities, resume critiquing, mock interviews, and educational sessions, young leaders gain perspective, resources, and knowledge on how to attain their career goals. The 2015 ERSL Conference will take place February 19–21 at the University of Central Florida’s Recreation and Wellness Center in Orlando.

The ERSL Conference Committee and the Host Committee are now in the process of pulling the final details together for the conference. Students and young professionals, don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to listen, discuss, and engage with peers as well as some of the most dedicated and experienced professionals in collegiate recreation!

Whether you know your future lies within the collegiate recreation field or if you’re searching for the career path that fits you best, the 2015 ERSL Conference will be an invigorating experience that will provide you with new ideas on how to pursue your ambitions. At the very least, it’s a great way to meet similarly-motivated and ambitious budding collegiate recreation leaders.

Jackie McCarty, ERSL Conference Co-Chair, can attest to the great networking opportunities the conference provides: “The Annual Conference can be a bit overwhelming at times and you often feel like a fish out of water. I’ve actually run into people from ERSLC at the Annual Conference who then helped me navigate it.”

The conference schedule is jam packed with informative and fun activities—a Learn to Surf preconference activity, mock interviews, and Take a Student to Lunch are just a few—so there will be plenty to keep you busy! While there will be onsite registration, online registration for this great professional development opportunity ends on February 2—so don’t delay, register today!
