Presented by Dave Kennedy, Assistant Director at Baylor University

In an era of COVID-related downsizing and position reassignments, the need for campus recreation professionals to determine what a “good fit” truly looks like has never been more necessary. Recently, student affairs professionals – including Campus Recreation staff – have performed tasks and been given responsibilities that fall far beyond the normal parameters of their roles, prompting some to wonder how their current skills might translate to another? In this session, you will hear from a student affairs professional with over 25 years experience in the field who recently made the transition to recreation professional after nearly two decades in housing administration. Through personal experience, attendees will be presented with questions to consider prior to making a move as well as ideas to help during and after the transition process. A Q&A time will follow.
