NIRSA 2020 will offer twelve educational blocks during core conference days (Sunday-Tuesday), offering attendees the opportunity to earn up to 12 NIRSA CEUs to apply towards the Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professional (RCRSP) designation. Attendees may earn more by attending a preconference workshop.

Common Questions

Education programs that have approved for NIRSA CEU values will be identified in the printed program guide and the event’s Guidebook app.

No. NIRSA is currently re-evaluating its providership strategy for future education events. NIRSA 2020 will not be a pre-approved provider for any other CEU types, except NIRSA CEUs. These CEUs may be applied toward the Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals (RCRSP) renewal applications.

If you are interested in earning CEUs for a credential other than the RCRSP, you must contact your credentialing organization and inquire about their requirements for self/reporting/petitioning for credits.

Upon submission of a session evaluation, attendees are provided an opportunity to request a courtesy transcript, documenting your attendance at sessions.

RCRSPs are required to track their own attendance at sessions. To assist you in doing so, NIRSA 2020 will issue courtesy transcripts to those who request one by completing a session evaluation. To receive a courtesy transcript, you must include your name and email when prompted at the end of each session evaluation. A transcript of your attendance will be sent to you within 6 weeks after the event for you to keep for your files.

  • To renew their credential, RCRSP designation holders must earn 45 CEUs within three years.  They must submit a list of qualifying education activities with their renewal application. It is the intention of the transcript to help you with your recordkeeping, but NIRSA does not maintain this information for you nor does NIRSA track RCRSP designation holders’ attendance at events.
  • For more information about earning and maintaining your RCRSP credential, please refer to the RCRSP Handbook which can be accessed on the Registry website.
