We’re excited for you to join us at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona for the 2020 NIRSA Annual Conference and Campus Rec & Wellness Expo! This year offers another opportunity to network and connect with your NIRSA colleagues.
NIRSA has group rates at two hotels near the Phoenix Convention Center.
NIRSA Headquarter Hotel

Please note that the Sheraton is fully booked the night of April 20. Plenty of rooms remain the other nights.

We encourage you to stay with your colleagues and friends at the official Headquarter Hotel, Sheraton Phoenix Downtown. There is also a block available at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix. NIRSA relies on strong room block usage to secure conference meeting space, increase negotiation leverage for future conferences, and to help keep overall Annual Conference expenses down.
Hotel reservations can be made online within the group block by using the website link provided to you along with your conference registration confirmation. A valid credit card will be needed to secure your hotel reservation.
Multi-room reservations are possible. Details will be included in the hotel registration link.

Registration is now open, and early bird rates will last into early March. If you have already registered for the 2020 NIRSA Annual Conference and did not receive a confirmation/receipt—or if you’re having trouble locating it—please contact NIRSA Billing Coordinator Rachel Hart.
NIRSA Headquarters Hotel
Sheraton Phoenix Downtown
The official NIRSA Headquarter Hotel. This hotel is in a prime downtown location near the Phoenix Convention Center, Arizona State University, Chase Field, and the Encanto Historic District. The city’s largest hotel welcomes guests with thoughtful amenities and dynamic accommodations. A large fitness center is available 24 hours and an outdoor lap pool and sundeck is open from 5:00am to 11:00pm every day. The hotel will have undergone a complete renovation by the winter of 2020.
Hyatt Regency Phoenix
Located near the Phoenix Convention Center, the Hyatt Regency places downtown Phoenix right at your feet. Walk to the Arizona Center shops, explore museums, local cultural events, and sporting events at Talking Stick Arena and Chase Field. The vibrant nightlife of downtown Phoenix is just outside the doors. Also, enjoy use of the 24-hour StayFit Gym and a rooftop pool and hot tub with sundeck.
Travel Information
If you’re flying, the closest airport is Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), which is only 3.8 miles away.
Uber or Lyft rates range from $13-$19 (one way). SuperShuttle offers rates starting at $13 each way, but reservations are required. The Phoenix Lightrail offers transportation from the airport to a station just 0.3 miles from the hotels for $2.00.
