NIRSA Foundation’s Mark Fletcher
5K Fun Run/Walk &
In My Dreams Event
Register Today!
The NIRSA Foundation is pleased to present the 8th Annual Mark Fletcher 5K Fun Run/Walk on Wednesday, March 7, on the last day of the 2018 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo in Denver, Colorado.
This fun, noncompetitive event provides NIRSA members with an on-the-move networking experience while living our strategic value of health and wellbeing.
We’re walking, strolling, and running come rain or come shine! Check-in begins at 5:30am and the race begins at 6:00am. The course will start at the lower level convention center entrance outside the D Lobby, marked with directional signs and with a water station at the designated start/finish area. All NIRSA members are invited to participate! This will be an untimed fun run, so be sure to wear a watch if you’re looking to beat your PR!
Don’t forget to tag @NIRSAFoundation when you post your running route, post-workout pic, or sleepy selfie along with the hashtags #ElevateYourRun and #NIRSA2018 on Facebook or Twitter!

Mark Fletcher In My Dreams Virtual Run & Sleep-in Fundraiser
Do you want to participate in the NIRSA Foundation’s Mark Fletcher 5K Fun Run/Walk but feel like 5:30am is a rough call time on the last day of Conference? Prefer the pillow to the pavement, the mattress to the morning, or the rest to the run? Or did the Fun Run/Walk event registration fill up before you could register? Don’t worry! We have an offering for you, too.
You can support the NIRSA Foundation and your NIRSA family by registering for the Mark Fletcher In My Dreams fundraising event, where there’s no time limit, no speed limit, and no dream limit! You can run your own race, join the Expo’s Early Morning Workout, sleep in, or participate in another activity of your choosing. Participating in the In My Dreams virtual run benefits your NIRSA family—and still gets you swag to go with that well-earned swagger! After registering, you’ll receive some festive, Conference-themed, digital running bibs to print out and sport while you run, work out, or snooze!
Thank You
Your participation in the fun run/walk or the In My Dreams event helps the NIRSA Foundation live its mission to enhance the effectiveness of collegiate recreational sports by providing NIRSA members with meaningful opportunities for scholarship, research, and personal and professional development. Proceeds from these events support our operations and our four fields of interest: scholarships, research, student officials’ development, and leadership.
Not Going to Conference?
You can still participate in the Mark Fletcher In My Dreams virtual event even if you’re not attending conference! You don’t have to be in Denver, in person to demonstrate your NIRSA love. Your participation shows NIRSA members who are attending NIRSA 2018 that this “NIRSA Family Reunion” isn’t just in Denver; We’re united in support of our NIRSA Family across all Regions. Sign up and receive your digital, Conference-themed running bibs by clicking here.
