Serve the central Florida community by partnering with the Community Food & Outreach Center, a nonprofit agency that helps those in need transform their lives by providing food, crisis care, opportunities for education and employment, and a hand to families, individuals, and children who are fighting to break the cycle of poverty. This is an opportunity to engage in meaningful service and team building with student and professional colleagues.
Volunteers at the Community Food & Outreach Center will work in two primary locations: the Reduced Cost Grocery Program and the Thrift Store. Both projects reach the clients of the Community Food & Outreach Center who are living at 200% of the federal poverty line. Volunteers help create a positive shopping experience by cleaning, organizing, and stocking shelves and racks in the 50,000+ square foot facility while interacting with shoppers. Read More »
