The content team for the 2019 NIRSA Directors Institute, presented by PLAE, which is taking place in Park City, UT from June 10–12, is excited to announce that the event schedule is now ready to view!

Developed to be the premier educational and networking retreat for campus recreation directors and chief administrators, this institute fosters an intimate environment that supports the facilitation of focused and intensive conversations and networking. The 2019 institute kicks off with a panel discussion featuring former NIRSA President Mick Deluca, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Campus Life at UCLA; Brett Perozzi, PhD, Vice President of Student Affairs at Weber State University; and Lionel Maten, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Director of Student Housing at the University of Mississippi. They’ll share their insights regarding how campus recreation can play a role in solving campus/institutional problems.

Other sessions throughout the institute will provide insight on understanding the intersection between wellbeing, resilience, and student engagement; preparing students for the workforce; leveraging campus partnerships; and how to build and effectively use your political capital.

NIRSA is excited for attendees to learn and network not only from each other, but from the outstanding line-up of presenters including Todd Misener, PhD, CHES, Chief Wellness Officer at Oklahoma State University; Tim Harding, Associate Dean of Career Development and Engagement, Student Affairs at the University of Tampa and member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Board of Directors; Russ King, Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives at UC San Diego; and former NIRSA President Stan Shingles, Assistant Vice President at Central Michigan University.

The institute will also feature several networking opportunities and a service activity for the local community. You’ll learn and have fun at the same time!

This event is limited to 60 attendees so register before early bird pricing ends on Friday, April 19! After you register, your confirmation email will contain a link to book your room at the beautiful Chateaux Deer Valley.

We look forward to seeing you in Park City!
