This past April, NIRSA and the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) partnered to present a joint webinar on employee wellbeing. Representatives from Oklahoma State University and Stanford University spoke about some of the exciting programs on their campuses, as well as the collaborative partnerships between the campus recreation and human resources departments that helped make those programs so successful.

The webinar was so well received by both NIRSA and CUPA-HR members, that both associations are excited to partner again to explore the topic of employee wellbeing on campus even further.

“Employee Wellbeing: How-Tos and Takeaways from Two Successful Programs” is scheduled for Thursday, October 18 from 1:00-2:00pm ET. Registration is free, but attendees do need to be registered before the webinar begins. Mark your calendars and sign up today!

Creating a culture of wellbeing for the whole campus continues to gain momentum across North America, and examples like these provide opportunities for new ideas and practices you can take to your own campus.

This webinar will highlight successful programs at East Carolina University and the University of California-San Diego; it will also take a deeper dive into the “how-to” of getting programs like these started, maintained, and continually fostered.

Representatives from both campus recreation and human resources will be featured on the webinar, including:

  • Tiffany Caddell, FitLife Mobile & Occupational Coordinator, University of California-San Diego
  • Brenna Joyce, FitLife Health Coordinator, University of California-San Diego
  • Model Hong, Work/Life Analyst, University of California-San Diego
  • Suzanne McDonald, Assistant Director of Physical Activity, East Carolina University
  • Justin Yeamen, Interim Lead of Learning and Organizational Development, East Carolina University

If you are unable to attend the live webinar, CUPA-HR webinars are made available on demand usually within one week of the event date.
