NIRSA is excited to partner with the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) on an upcoming webinar on wellbeing. Two NIRSA members, along with their CUPA-HR partners on campus, will speak to some of the great work and partnership happening between campus recreation and human resources on their campus.

Faculty and staff are a key part of campus communities—their buy-in to the overall importance of wellbeing, and the prioritization of their own wellbeing, not only further integrates this value on campus but positively impacts students’ environment while providing strong models of lived wellbeing behaviors.

Why partner with HR on your campus?

Creating a culture where employees choose to live a healthier lifestyle can be achieved when the experience is a shared one through communal goals. Oklahoma State University’s Todd Misener, Chief Wellness Officer, and Jamie Payne, Assistant Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, will join Stanford University’s Eric Stein, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Recreation and Wellness, and Neal Evans, Director of Health & Welfare Programs, to discuss how their institutions have successfully chosen to work in cross-campus collaborations, which has created a healthier culture for all on campus.

Additionally, both of these institutions participated in the 2014 white paper Employee Wellness Programs: Collegiate Recreation Trends Research, allowing the opportunity for reflection on how their programs, opportunities, and challenges have evolved over time.

Registration is required

This free webinar, “Employee Well-Being: Collaborative Partnerships Between Campus Recreation, Wellness and Human Resources,” is scheduled for April 26, 1:00-2:00 pm ET. Registration for the webinar is required and attendees need to be registered before the webinar begins. CUPA-HR live webinars will be available on demand within one week of the event date.
