Now’s your chance to share your knowledge and experience with your peers! The 2018 NIRSA Intramural Sports Institute takes place on June 20–22 in Brookfield, Wisconsin and we will start accepting presentation proposals on January 22. Don’t delay in submitting a proposal—the deadline to submit is February 7!

The institute committee has created a list of topic areas and hot topics to help potential presenters zero in on areas that needs the most attention. While the committee narrowed down the topics, they also tried to keep the topic areas broad enough to allow submitters to share new and different ideas. Submitters are encouraged to not only submit proposals about great program successes but also lessons learned and creative ways to combat challenges.

The NIRSA Intramural Sports Institute Committee is focusing on the following hot topics:

  • Budgets
  • Technology/Marketing
  • Student Development
  • Officiating
  • Special Events/Marketing
  • Program Administration

For more information regarding topic areas and hot topics, please visit the institute webpage.

Both professional and student members who are selected as lead presenters at the NIRSA Intramural Sports Institute will receive a $100 voucher good towards registration fees at this event or a future NIRSA institute or annual conference within one year. NIRSA presenters also qualify for Professional Involvement Credits (PICs), which can be applied toward renewal in The Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals.

Visit the NIRSA website to view the components of effective proposals and to see the evaluation criteria used by program reviewers. Looking for the additional guidelines and resource? Look no further! Check out the NIRSA website to view more!
