You can still take part in the 2017 NIRSA Community Service Project, which has been a wonderful tradition at the NIRSA Annual Conference for the past six years. Let it be a part of your conference experience this year at the 2017 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo, which is taking place in National Harbor, MD from February 21–24. The 2017 Community Service Project will happen on Tuesday, February 21 from 7:00am-2:00pm. Register for it today!

This year, NIRSA has partnered with the Capital Area Food Bank, a local organization dedicated to feeding those who suffer from hunger and malnutrition in the Washington, D.C. metro area by acquiring and distributing food through a network of 700 partners. They also perform outreach, education, and training to help those in need. NIRSA volunteers will have an opportunity to help as conveyor belt loaders, conveyor belt box makers, conveyor belt box checkers and tapers, conveyor belt movers of finished pallets, conveyor belt packers, and as sorters.

As a volunteer, you will use your own helping hands to fight hunger in the Washington, D.C. area. Unfortunately—due to limited space—this event has a maximum capacity of 50 participants, so make sure to register today!
