Since starting in 2013, the NIRSA Triventure has been a huge success! The past two Triventures averaged around 200 attendees and the feedback NIRSA received has been fantastic.

“I got the opportunity to see the Triventure from many perspectives: a participant, a presenter, an instructor, and the committee chair,” says Dana Dickerson, Assistant Director, SCRC and Aquatics at UCLA, about the 2015 event. “It took a lot of people to get the Triventure to come together, but from what I saw and experienced, it was the best one to date. I highly recommend attending this event to obtain more specific networking and educational sessions geared towards your field.”

NIRSA Association member Innosoft Fusion also participated in the 2015 Triventure. They say, “It was a great opportunity to see some current clients and to meet new clients. We had the opportunity to keep the conversation going with potential clients as well. InnoSoft will continue to participate in the NIRSA Triventure.”

The 2017 NIRSA Triventure will be held at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center in Marietta, Georgia from November 30–December 2. Marietta is a small town that has so much to offer! As a suburb of Atlanta, it isn’t too far from the big city. However, its charm and attractions will make you want to stick around. If you’re a Gone With the Wind fan then you can’t pass up the opportunity to visit the Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum. For those who are interested in the supernatural, or who just want a little scare, the Ghosts of Marietta tour is a must. With plenty of dining options and several historic museums, you’ll have a lot of options close by to unwind after your full day of professional development.

Whether you work in the fields of aquatics, fitness, wellness, or recreation facilities, this event is for you! The NIRSA Triventure is an incredible professional development opportunity for everyone in the recreation profession. Whichever tract you choose, you’ll be able to take what you learn and adapt it to your institution’s programming. This event will allow you to network and learn from your peers as well as stay on the cutting edge of the latest trends and issues in collegiate recreation.

One of the real highlights of the Triventure is the facility tours! Marietta is close to award-winning recreation facilities which you will get to visit and learn about. They might even inspire you to implement some changes at your facility.

Starting in Spring 2017, NIRSA will start accepting presentation proposals for these three NIRSA institutes. Start thinking about presentation topics today that you think would best help your fellow NIRSA members improve their institutional offerings and strategies.

Registration for this exciting event is anticipated to open in May 2017. Be on the lookout for further details in the NIRSA Know.
