Get excited NIRSA members—the 2016 NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Expo takes place at the Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, FL from April 3–6! The NIRSA Annual Conference is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with fellow NIRSA members, listen to great speakers, and attend amazing educational sessions. It’s the premier professional development event for collegiate recreation professionals!

The Association wants to help members get a jump start on their conference experience, and so a number of preconference workshops and events will be offered on Sunday, April 3. There is truly something for everyone!

For those looking for educational workshops, make sure to check out on the following great options: the “J. Michael Dunn Student Professional Development Workshop,” “Women Leading Women,” “Best Practices in Wellness Programming,” “Sustainability! Incorporating Sustainable Practices into Your Workplace,” “The Culturally-Competent Leader,” or “ACE’s Coaching Behavior Change Workshop.” You can learn more about any of these workshops on the NIRSA website.

#NIRSA2016 attendees can also choose from a number of other preconference opportunities. Members can go on facilities tours, join the NIRSA Community Service Project, participate in the NIRSA Foundation Golf Tournament, or attend the outdoor trip. Keep an eye on the NIRSA website, as well as on NIRSA’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts for more information about all of these great preconference workshops, trips, and events.
