The Women’s Leadership Institute is a joint venture of nine members of the Council for Higher Education Management Associations, which includes NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation. This unique professional development opportunity invites women who aspire to be senior leaders in higher education—and who currently work in a diverse range of positions like facilities, operations, administration, auxiliary services, student affairs, recreation, and libraries—to learn together and share their passion for their fields. The 2015 Women’s Leadership Institute is taking place December 6–9 at the Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island in Amelia Island, Florida—registration is now open through the ACUI website!

“Since last year, I’ve implemented learning goals with my staff using some of the strategies that the speakers talked about,” says 2014 Women’s Leadership Institute attendee Stephanie (Kloos) Smith, Associate Director at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. “We are all able to speak about the success of our programs fluently, confidently and are continually working on our executive presence at MIT.”

The institute provides a special opportunity to learn not just about leadership skills, but also about how other parts of campuses function, what other schools’ priorities are, what challenges they face, and how to bridge communication gaps that may exist when women in senior leadership positions try to work across campus cultures. Stephanie says she “found the cross section of attendees from all areas of higher education to be extremely beneficial. It allowed me to explore ways campus recreation can not only collaborate with but also support all the people on my own campus.”

Early bird pricing for this outstanding event ends on November 4, so make sure to register today!
