NIRSA is committed to staying ahead of the curve regarding current trends in the collegiate recreation field, and believes in providing its membership with resources and best practices related to those trends. In light of this commitment, the Association annually conducts the NIRSA Trends in Collegiate Research Project sponsored by NIRSA Platinum partner Precor.

The Association will select a trend to be extensively researched through a variety of resources including literature reviews, empirical studies, and in-depth analyses on select campuses. It will then publish a white paper on the findings and so expand on the resources that add value to our membership. Last year’s chosen topic was “Technology”; the white paper will be released later this summer.

So have you been wondering whether something you’re observing on your campus or in your collegiate recreation program is happening at other schools? Would you like to see further investigation on a topic that has the potential to make an instrumental impact on collegiate recreation? If you answered “yes” to either of those questions, consider submitting a topic for consideration for this research project!

The deadline to submit topics is May 31—don’t wait, submit yours today!
