Update, October 2, 2013:Due to record interest in the 2013 NIRSA Triventure, registration has reached capacity. Space for preconference Aquatic Facility Operator certification course is still available.

Registration is now open for the National Recreation Facilities Institute, presented by Mondo, National Aquatic Institute, and National Fitness & Wellness Institute, billed as a NIRSA Triventure.

This dynamic trio takes inspiration from the previous success of a 2007 co-located “Trio” in Portland, Oregon.

All three institutes will co-locate their events at the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Denver, Colorado on October 16-18, 2013. By scheduling concurrent schedules, attendees are encouraged to move freely between educational sessions and enjoy increased networking opportunities. All attendees will share an Opening General Session, evening socials and nearby facility tours. To see the schedule of events, click here.

2013 NIRSA Triventure in Denver, Colorado will live to Olympic proportions.

“I’m ecstatic for the NIRSA Triventure. The beautiful city of Denver and its downtown location has a lot to offer and will give us opportunities to collaborate with everyone,” says Steven Trotter of the University of North Carolina Wilmington and Chair for 2013 NIRSA Fitness & Wellness Institute Committee.

A preconference tour of the United States Olympic Training Center is scheduled on Tuesday, October 15 from 3:00pm-4:00pm. The guided one-hour tour will explore the training complex including the Aquatics Center, Sport Center Gymnasiums, weightlifting and wrestling facilities and the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame Rotunda. Attendees will also see art exhibitions located throughout the Olympic Visitor Center and have the opportunity to shop at the U.S. Olympic Store.

Presentation proposals are currently being accepted for all institutes. The deadline to submit a presentation proposal is May 24, 2013. Presenting is a great opportunity to further your own professional development while also fostering the same for others. As a thanks for sharing their experiences and expertise, lead presenters will receive a $100 NIRSA voucher. Presenters will also earn Professional Involvement Credits, which can be used towards renewal applications into the Professional Registry.
