The 2019 NIRSA Annual Conference and Campus Rec & Wellness Expo has ended.

We look forward to seeing you in Phoenix for NIRSA 2020!

Welcome, Volunteers

This is a team effort

Volunteers like you help to make the conference better every year.

The NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Exposition is enriched in no small part through the generous contributions of the time and talent of our amazing membership.

The benefits of volunteering are familiar to returning volunteers; but if you’ve never offered your service at the NIRSA Annual Conference, you might be surprised to learn that your own conference experience will be enriched as much as all the people you serve.

Current Opportunities

Education Program Proposal Reviewers
Volunteer Registration for this opportunity is currently open.

Serving as a proposal reviewer is a great way for members to get involved in crafting the NIRSA 2019 education program. All potential reviewers must be current NIRSA members. They also must have presented at a previous NIRSA education event, have an appreciation and understanding of current trends in the field, and have a solid understanding of one or more of NIRSA’s Core Competency framework domains.

Interested members will need to be available to review approximately 15-20 education proposals between June 25–July 11. While the amount of time it takes to review varies, volunteers have reported that it is typically a five-hour commitment.

If you are interested in reviewing sessions, please fill out and submit the 2019 NIRSA Annual Conference Proposal Reviewer Interest Form.

  • Education Table Staff
Serving at the Education Table can be a fun opportunity to support presenters, room hosts and help attendees navigate conference.  Table staff help to check-in volunteer session hosts and answer questions from presenters and attendees about the education schedule. For members who may have an interest in serving on the Conference Program Committee at some point, this provides a good glimpse into the work of this committee.
