Gaylord Texan has a business center to help you with your last-minute photocopies, printouts, or shipping. It’s located near the Longhorn Exhibit hall in the walkway to the hotel on Level 1 of the Convention Center.
The Gaylord Texan is stocked with several dining options with a wide variety of price ranges and culinary expertise (check out the NIRSA meal specials at the individual Texan eateries). If you want to explore the town of Grapevine grab a cab and check it out.
Additional options—which will be available in the Longhorn Marble Foyer on March 31 and April 1— have been arranged for breakfast and lunch options at special price points.
The Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center is entirely enclosed and climate controlled to a comfortable 72 degrees 24/7. With the exception of the Honor Award Banquet which is semi-formal, attire for the conference is business casual. Undoubtedly, you’ll see many attendees rockin’ their campus pride, as school-colored polos are among the favorite fashion statements. If you’ll be venturing outside of the resort, the extended forecast shows highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s, with a few of the days showing a small possibility of rain.
The NIRSA 2015 registration area is located in the convention center which you can access through the bridge near the Lonestar area. NIRSA 2015 registration will be open during the following hours:
|8:00pm – 10:00pm||7:00am – 9:00pm||7:00am – 6:30pm||7:30pm – 5:00pm||8:15pm – 12:30pm|
If you are staying at one of NIRSA’s overflow hotels, be sure to review the details on this page. Transportation options between the Gaylord Texan and the various overflow hotels will be made available at the hotel you are staying at. Check with the front desk for details about the schedule.
Hotel check-in begins at 3:00pm. Many rooms will be available so if you arrive early, check with the desk to see if you can register and avoid the lines that will inevitably come with the 3:00pm rush. Upon check-in, you will be given a detailed map that will help guide you to your room. Your friendly host committee members will be staged throughout the resort to help you find your room and the convention center. You will know them by their very stylish t-shirts.
You bet! NIRSA has negotiated discounted parking at the Gaylord Texan. Just pick up a $7 discount voucher at NIRSA registration before you leave the parking lot; you’ll need a new voucher each time you exit.
