Day 1

March 31: Dallas

9:15am

Leave Gaylord Hotel

10:00am–Noon

JFK Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. Located on the sixth and seventh floors of the former Texas School Book Depository, this museum features films, photographs, and artifacts that chronicle President Kennedy’s life, death, and legacy.

12:15pm–1:15pm

Lunch at El Fenix, winner of the best Tex Mex in Dallas 2011, 2012, and 2013

1:30pm-3:00pm

A visit to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, a 66 acre urban oasis featuring 19 manicured gardens.

4:00pm

Arrive back at Gaylord Hotel

Day 2

April 1: Ft. Worth/Grapevine

10:00am–Noon

Tour the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. In the late 1800s Fort Worth was the last major stop for est and supplies for the cattle divers heading up the Chisholm trail. Between 1866-1890 more than four million head of cattle were trailed through Fort Worth which was soon known as “Cowtown.” Soon Cowtown has it’s own entertainment district known as “Hells half Acre”. Learn more about the history from then to now and tour this historic area.

Noon–1:00pm

Lunch at Risky’s Steakhouse in the Historic Stockyards

1:30pm-3:30pm

Wrap up the afternoon tasting wines at Delaney Vineyards and Winery and learn about the special grapes unique to the North Texas climate. The grape-growing, harvesting, wine-making and bottling process are all explained

4:00pm

Arrive back at Gaylord Hotel
