The 2015 Collegiate Sports Sustainability Summit

June 24-26, 2015 • Ross-Ade Pavilion
Purdue University • West Lafayette, Indiana

Welcome to the 5th Collegiate Sports Sustainability Summit

This Summit offers attendees the chance to network, learn, and exchange ideas with peers from around the country on ways in which athletic and sports programs can join the campus movement to engage students, fans, and alumni in making collegiate sports socially, economically, and environmentally responsible.

Through the Summit, we are creating an open and equal platform for inter-departmental collaboration. Representatives from student groups and athletic, recreation, sustainability, facilities, food service, and recycling departments are welcome.

Indiana Welcomes All

Recent amendments to SB101 give NIRSA confidence that Purdue University and the city of West Lafayette will offer all attendees from diverse backgrounds an inclusive and welcoming experience at the Collegiate Sports Sustainability Summit. Questions about NIRSA’s commitment to the value of equity, diversity, and inclusion can be directed to the NIRSA Executive Office.

Agenda

This year’s agenda will be designed to bring together collegiate athletics staff, campus recreational managers, sustainability professionals, and recycling/facility managers together to identify ways to achieve common campus sustainability goals through sports and athletics, save money, foster better inter-departmental relationships, and increase recognition for your institution’s efforts.

The Summit will feature engaging speakers with real world experience in how to achieve economic and environmental results by going green in collegiate sports. The agenda also emphasizes opportunities to share and network through roundtables and informal meetings in a relaxed setting.
