The Program Committee for the 2017 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo—which is being held at the Gaylord National in Baltimore, MD from February 21–24—is excited to announce that Ben Nemtin and Michel Falcon will be the keynote speakers.

Ben Nemtin

Ben is an executive producer, author, public speaker, and television personality who has been celebrated for his efforts helping others. With lessons learned from achieving his own goals and helping others with theirs, Ben delivers perspective that inspires audiences to dream big, accomplish their objectives, and identify creative strategies to help others.

“The Program Committee is thrilled to have Ben Nemtin join us as the Opening General Session keynote speaker,” says Becky Todd, 2017 Conference Program Committee member and Associate Director for Programs at the University of Arkansas. “Ben is known for the bucket list he and his friends created: ‘100 Things to Do Before You Die.’ Their trip to cross off items on their bucket list turned into much more. Ben and his friends began to help others along the way by asking the question ‘What do you want to do before you die?’ Ben is bringing his message to the NIRSA Annual Conference and will share his mission to life a fulfilled life while helping others along the way. We hope his message sparks you to conquer your dreams both professionally and personally.”

Michel Falcon

Michel Falcon is a renowned customer experience speaker. Michel’s career began in 2007 working as a call center agent for 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, a $100+ million dollar/year company based in Vancouver, Canada. It was on the phone lines that he discovered his passion for customer experience management and employee engagement. He saw firsthand how a great company culture can have an impact on the businesses’ success. During his time at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? he was promoted four times in just five years, eventually working on the Operations Management Team within the company.

Michel now leads Trogon, a customer experience and employee engagement strategic advisory agency. Trogon helps companies build the right systems and processes to increase customer loyalty, reduce employee turnover, and build strong company cultures. Michel advises dozens of multi-million and billion-dollar companies across industries ranging from hospitality, tech startups, real estate, banking, telecomm, and biotech, to many others.
