In 2017, for the very first time, NIRSA 2017 attendees will have the chance to attend the Campus Rec and Wellness Expo!

Formerly known as the Recreational Sports Exposition, the NIRSA Board of Directors has voted to give the Expo a new name. “This forward-looking change articulates the of values of NIRSA by being more inclusiveness of all our constituents,” explains Bill Crockett, Executive Director at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and President Designee on the Board. “The name change positions us strategically in how we approach recreational sports and wellness in our valued Expo. “

The new name should help encourage additional vendors who want to be a part of the wellness revolution as well as broaden the Expo’s scope to include those who love to use campus rec centers for more than just sport. NIRSA believes this change showcases the Expo in a light that better embodies NIRSA and what we do on campuses regarding the promotion of health and wellness.

The 2016 Expo featured 172 amazing vendors who showcased the most innovative products and services in the industry. We hope you can join us at the 2017 NIRSA Annual Conference taking place from February 21-24 in National Harbor, Maryland. And don’t forget to stop by the Campus Rec and Wellness Expo while you’re there!
