In addition to its Annual Giving Campaign, the NIRSA Foundation will have numerous activities at the 2015 NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Expo in which you can get involved. All NIRSA members are invited to participate in this diverse line-up of activities at the Gaylord Texan from March 30–April 2!

Things kick-off on Monday, March 30 when the Foundation will be busy both serving the Grapevine community and hitting the links. This year’s NIRSA Foundation Community Service Project will take place in conjunction with GRACE Grapevine, an organization dedicated to providing food, clothing, financial assistance, and other vital necessities to people who are struggling with a limited income or recent emergency.

March 30 is also the day of the 21st Annual NIRSA Foundation Golf Tournament, which will be held at Tour 18 in Flower Mound, Texas. Tour 18 is only a short trip from the Gaylord property and features 18 iconic golf holes from across the country including #11, #12, and #13 from Augusta National (Amen Corner), the “island green” at Sawgrass #17, Harbour Town #18 and many, many more. Be sure to add both of these great events to your conference registration!

And don’t forget your program or department T-shirts for entry into the historic NIRSA Foundation T-shirt Competition. Shirts will be accepted at the NIRSA Foundation Table, Sunday night, Monday until the Opening General Session, and Tuesday until 1:00pm. The Foundation is also accepting donations of jackets, sweatshirts, golf and polo shirts, and other swag for sale at our NIRSA Foundation store. Download the entry form.

New this year is the NIRSA Foundation Hoop Shoot located in the Expo Hall. For just $1, you can challenge your friends and colleagues in a free-throw shooting contest. Prizes will be awarded to the best male and female shooter. Join us at the Expo Hall Tuesday, March 31 from 6:00pm–9:00pm and Wednesday, April 1 from 9:00am–2:00pm to show off your free throw skills!

On Thursday, April 2—the last day of the Annual Conference—put on your running shoes and blaze a trail bright and early for the Annual Mark Fletcher Fun Run/Walk. This year’s run/walk will begin at 6:30am to give participants plenty of time to complete the course and prepare for early morning sessions. The cost for professionals to participate is $25 while students pay only $15. Start your last day of conference off on the right foot!

We would be delighted to see you at the NIRSA Foundation Table at the 2015 NIRSA Annual Conference! Stop by to speak to a Foundation Board Member and learn how you can get involved in our committees and programs. You can also sneak a peek of the NIRSA Foundation Quilt and purchase your raffle tickets! Register for NIRSA 2015 today if you haven’t already—we’re looking forward to seeing you in Grapevine!
